Ultra-Modern Book Club & Group Review of "Aunt Pajama and the Babysitters"
Book Review of Aunt Pajama and the Babysitters by Joanna Clark Illustrated by Gary Clark
"Aunt Pajama and the Babysitters" by Joanna Clark and illustrated by her husband Gary Clark, is the fifth volume in the Aunt Pajama series. Here is a beautiful tale of a special aunt who frequently babysits her nieces and nephews. She is so inspiring that they asked if they could babysit their smaller cousins at her home one day. Of course, Aunt Pajama agrees. The children of course, and Aunt Pajama, agree. The children planned the activities, assuming that babysitting is all play and everything will go according to plan. Aunt Pajama's oldest nieces and nephews quickly realize that babysitting is not all play, and that it takes much work and much responsibility. They also learned that when things do not work out, we can try something else; there is no need to get upset. There is a solution to the problem. I admire that the older children even wanted to take care of their younger cousins. Life is full of experiences, and we learn from those experiences. The older children learned that although babysitting can be much fun, it is also much work.
